Example of a 4000t/h granite crushing process in Guangdong Province
(1) Basic Project Information. The rock is granite, with a construction scale of 4000 t/h for sand and gravel aggregate. The product particle size is 0-7 mm, 7-26 mm, and 26.0-31.5 mm.

(2) Ore Quality Characteristics. The granite has a blocky structure, mostly light gray in color. The main mineral components are mica, feldspar, and quartz. The main mineral composition is shown in Table 6. The apparent density of the ore is 2738 kg/m³. The abrasion index is 0.245, indicating medium abrasion; the impact energy index is 27.3, indicating difficult-to-crush material.

(3) Crushing Process Flow. Considering the large hourly output, the first stage crushing uses a single gyratory crusher with a processing capacity of 3700-4500 t/h. The second and third stages of crushing use cone crushers. The aggregate processing system mainly adopts a three-stage crushing process. Raw materials are transported by truck to the discharge port of the gyratory crusher for primary crushing. After primary crushing, the material enters a bar screen (90 mm). The material passing through the bar screen then enters a second-stage cone crusher. The material passing through the bar screen enters a desliming screen for desliming. The silt and other waste materials passing through the desliming screen enter the waste stockpile. The material passing through the screen and the material from the second-stage cone crusher enters the third-stage crushing. The material from the third-stage crushing enters the first-stage screening. A portion of the +31.5 mm particle size is returned to the third-stage crushing, while the other portion is transported to a semi-finished product silo for storage, before proceeding to the next processing stage.
