Reconstruction of the lithium ore crushing and enrichment line project at a non-ferrous metals production plant in Xinjiang.
The non-ferrous lithium ore crushing line in Xinjiang did not meet the requirements, so the client contacted SBM Group for line modernization. Details are as follows:
Consultation on Lithium Ore Crushing Line Design
This client from Xinjiang is engaged in the processing of lithium ore (one of the main components of which is lepidolite). Traditional methods typically use high-pressure roller crushers in the ultra-fine crushing stage. However, high-pressure roller crushers produce a very large amount of material smaller than 0.5 mm, which is extremely unfavorable for the gravity concentration of lepidolite. Therefore, the client wanted to find an alternative solution to reduce the content of particles smaller than 0.5 mm in the crushed lepidolite.

After receiving the client's request, SBM, taking into account the client's production needs, the specific properties of the material, and the requirements of the subsequent beneficiation process, recommended using an impact crusher instead of a high-pressure roller crusher and conducted material processing tests for the client. The final experimental data showed that the impact crusher reduced the content of product smaller than 0.5 mm by approximately 43% compared to the high-pressure roller crusher. The results of using the SBM impact crusher instead of the high-pressure roller crusher far exceeded expectations, and the client was very satisfied with SBM's technical modernization plan and professional service.
