How to modernize the crushing line at the Hami magnetite mine in Xinjiang? Shibang is developing a technological upgrade plan to improve efficiency.
With iron ore grades of only 7-8% and a sluggish iron ore market in 2014, the client urgently needed cost reduction and efficiency improvement strategies. After a thorough analysis of the existing crushing process and equipment, Shibang meticulously planned a technical upgrade program. We strongly recommended replacing the outdated spring crusher with an HPT multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher. This step achieved two goals: first, to reduce crushed product size, improve feedstock feeding for the crushing process, and increase efficiency; second, to significantly reduce equipment wear and tear and subsequent maintenance costs, thereby significantly reducing production chain costs. Through this upgrade, we helped the client strengthen their market position in challenging conditions and achieve significant improvements in economic performance.

After the upgrade, productivity increased significantly. The fineness of the crushed material decreased from -14 mm to -8 mm, significantly increasing crushing efficiency and reducing overall production costs, resulting in significant economic benefits for the customer.
