The client's crushing and screening plant initially used an old φ1650 spring cone crusher, but it suffered from insufficient capacity and high circulating load, failing to process approximately 13 million tons of iron ore per year. Therefore, the client purchased HPT300 and HPT500 multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crushers from SBM to upgrade the crushing and screening plant.

After comparative testing of different systems, the data showed that the SBM HPT crusher's capacity reached 1.9 times that of the original crusher, and the particle size distribution of the crushed material after the SBM HPT crusher also significantly improved. The results of the upgrade were very significant. Currently, the production line continues to operate continuously at high intensity, and the SBM HPT multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher demonstrates a low failure rate and maintenance costs, and has already fulfilled a large part of the target for iron ore concentrate production.
