What is the process for processing coal gangue into sand? What equipment is used?
The coal gangue sand making process involves feeding, coarse crushing, medium and fine crushing, sand making, screening, and conveying. Production lines can be stationary or mobile, with key equipment including vibrating feeders, vibrating screens, belt conveyors, jaw crushers, impact crushers, and sand making machines. These devices work together to efficiently convert coal gangue into sand and gravel.
Coal Gangue Sand and Gravel Production Line Equipment Selection Consultation
Process and Equipment:

Primary Crushing Stage: The main processing equipment is a jaw crusher, with a vibrating feeder as an auxiliary equipment.
The primary crushing process is as follows: Large pieces of coal gangue are fed directly into the jaw crusher in a uniform and quantitative manner. Inside the jaw crusher, these materials undergo efficient crushing and are then discharged from the outlet. Next, the crushed material is taken over by a belt conveyor and transported to the medium and fine crushing section for further processing. The entire process achieves continuous and efficient processing of coal gangue, providing a stable material supply for subsequent processing stages.
Medium and fine crushing stage: The main processing equipment is an impact crusher, and the auxiliary equipment is a vibrating screen.
The medium and fine crushing process is as follows: A belt conveyor transports the coarsely crushed coal gangue to the impact crusher for further crushing. The crushed material flows out through the discharge port. Subsequently, the belt conveyor carries the material to the vibrating screen for screening. Large particles are returned to the crusher for further processing, while small particles are directly sent to the sand making section.
Sand making stage: The main processing equipment is a sand making machine, and the auxiliary equipment is a vibrating screen.
The sand making process is as follows: The coal gangue gravel after secondary fine crushing is directly fed into the inlet of the sand making machine by a belt conveyor. The sand making machine further processes it (crushing and shaping) to obtain coal gangue sand with a uniform particle size of less than 5mm.
If sand washing is required, a sand washing machine and a fine sand recovery machine can be purchased as needed.
Natural and artificial sand resources are scarce, leading to a shortage of aggregates in the sand and gravel industry. Coal gangue sand making, a waste recycling method, is widely available and low-cost, making it a popular choice. The process of a coal gangue sand making production line is as described above; however, different combinations and configurations exist, resulting in varying prices. Users need to select a suitable sand making production line based on their specific needs.
