When selecting equipment for a sand and gravel production line, the following factors should be considered:

1. Raw Material Properties

The hardness and size of the raw materials determine the choice of crushing equipment. Large rocks need to be coarsely crushed to medium size using a jaw crusher. 2. Output and Finished Product Requirements

Each piece of equipment has different specifications and models, and the required output determines the suitable machine model.

Different finished product requirements necessitate different production line configurations. If only crushed stone is needed, 2-3 stages of crushing are sufficient, and a sand making machine is not required. However, if manufactured sand is needed, a sand making machine must be added after the cone crusher or impact crusher. Therefore, the production line configuration needs to be flexibly adjusted according to the finished product requirements to ensure that production targets are met.

3. Need for Mobile Operation

Currently, there are two types of sand and gravel equipment on the market: traditional fixed sand and gravel equipment (including a complete set of equipment such as feeders, jaw crushers, cone crushers, impact crushers, sand making machines, and vibrating screens), and mobile sand and gravel equipment (mobile crushing stations).

Fixed sand and gravel equipment has high output but is not easy to move, making it suitable for large-scale sand and gravel production lines with stable raw materials and sites. Mobile sand and gravel equipment has a lower output than fixed sand and gravel production lines, but it is equipped with a vehicle-mounted system, allowing it to be moved directly to the work site without the need for a concrete foundation. It is quick to install and dismantle, and convenient for site transfers, making it suitable for projects with unstable raw materials or short-term urgent sand and gravel processing needs.

4. Budget

Price is a key factor in selecting sand and gravel production line equipment. Different configurations have significantly different prices, so a reasonable choice should be made based on the budget. At the same time, choosing a reputable and strong manufacturer ensures equipment quality and after-sales service, guaranteeing the stable operation of the production line in the long term.  A comprehensive consideration of all these factors will lead to the most suitable equipment selection.
