Material characteristics have the following effects on sand making machine output:

1. Material Hardness

The difficulty of ore crushing mainly depends on its hardness. Different ore materials have uneven mechanical properties. Large ore pieces or those with many texture cracks have low strength and are relatively easy to crush. Conversely, fine-grained ores have fewer texture cracks, higher strength, and are difficult to crush. Therefore, in the production process, reasonably evaluating the ore hardness and selecting appropriate crushing equipment and technology are key to improving crushing efficiency and reducing production costs.

2. Feed Particle Size and Reasonable Feeding Amount

Each model of sand making machine has a limit on the maximum feed particle size.  Excessively large feed particle sizes can easily cause blockages, rendering the equipment unable to crush. Excessive fine powder in the material also affects sand making output.

For materials with a high fine powder content, pre-screening should be performed. The fine powder should be screened out as much as possible to avoid affecting the normal operation of the sand making machine.

3. Material Moisture Content

When the material moisture content is too high, it is easy to adhere inside the sand making machine and cause blockages in the discharge conveyor, thereby reducing sand making efficiency. Therefore, when selecting materials, the moisture content must be strictly controlled, ensuring that it is within 8%. If the moisture content exceeds this limit, methods such as sun drying or air drying can be used to reduce the moisture content to ensure a smooth and efficient sand making process.

4. Material Viscosity

The higher the viscosity of the material, the easier it is to adhere. High-viscosity materials will adhere to the inner wall of the flow channel in the sand making machine impeller, and may even block the flow channel. If not cleaned in time, it will affect the working efficiency of the equipment, and in severe cases, it may affect the normal operation of the sand making machine. Therefore, when selecting materials, low-viscosity materials should be chosen.
