However, traditional sand and gravel production enterprises typically face problems such as small production scale, low productivity, outdated technology, and serious environmental pollution. To meet market demand and achieve environmentally friendly and sustainable development, large-scale, intensive, and environmentally safe sand and gravel production lines are urgently needed. I. Project Overview


This project uses limestone as raw material, and the production process includes "two-stage impact crusher + vertical shaft impact crusher + four-stage screening + comprehensive powder separation," which successfully achieved a production capacity of over 4000 t/h. The resulting high-quality artificial sand and gravel are widely used in key provincial and municipal projects such as highways, subways, and high-rise buildings, and have received widespread market recognition.

II. Process Description


Primary Crushing Stage


Based on the annual output and processing volume of raw materials, as well as the geographical conditions of the deposit, two impact crushers with a single machine capacity of ≥2000 t/h were selected as the primary crushing equipment. This equipment has a large crushing ratio, a small crushing area, and a good particle shape after crushing, making it an ideal choice for the production of high-quality artificial sand and gravel.


Secondary Crushing Stage


The secondary crushing equipment is mainly responsible for processing the large-sized material after primary crushing and screening. Four impact crushers with a single machine capacity of ≥600 t/h were selected. Through two-stage crushing (i.e., a combination of impact crusher (primary crushing) + impact crusher (secondary crushing)), the goal of high output and good particle shape was achieved.


Sand Production Stage


The sand production equipment uses a vertical shaft impact crusher (sand making machine) operating on the "stone-on-stone" principle. In the high-speed rotating turntable, the stones collide and break each other, forming rounded, well-sorted artificial sand. This equipment has high sand production efficiency and stable product quality.


Clay Removal Process

The clay removal process uses a roller screen for sieving. Through the transportation, rolling, and loosening of the material by the rollers, the clay content and methylene blue value are effectively controlled. Screening Process


The aggregate screening process uses a circular vibrating screen, which features high screening efficiency and large capacity, making it suitable for screening large particles and large-scale production. For artificial sand screening, a high-frequency screen with a sieve vibration frequency of 4000–4200 rpm is used, which effectively improves screening efficiency.


III. Conclusion


Through the combination of impact crushers, vertical shaft impact crushers, circular vibrating screens, high-frequency screens, and composite powder selection processes, this project has successfully achieved the goals of large-scale, intensive, and environmentally friendly production. The produced sand and gravel have good particle shape, rational particle size distribution, and a low methylene blue value, meeting the high quality requirements of key engineering projects.
